Turn your blog into a book!

For most of us, our blogs are a digital scrapbook because let's face it, typing is a heck of a lot easier than cutting out paper shapes and spending hours gluing on embellishments. But that doesn't mean we don't spend a lot of time getting things just right, editing ourselves, and feeling a sense of pride when we click PUBLISH POST. We're authors and even if no one reads our work, it's been put out there into the blogosphere.

I recently came across a service that turns your BLOG into a BOOK! How great is that?! Wouldn't it be fun to have a coffee table book out that features your own work??? Talk about a conversation starter!!! I couldn't remember where I'd seen the reference, so I googled it and it turns out there are a number of services that will do it for you! I apologize if I'm late to the game here and everyone already knew about this like a million years ago, but hey, I'm excited and I wanted to share it, because if it WORKS FOR ME, than maybe it will work for you!

Here are a couple examples and the places to find them!

Be sure to head over to We Are THAT Family for WORKS FOR ME WEDNESDAY to see some other helpful tips!!! AND, if anyone has used one of these services, please let me know which one you used and if you liked the finished product!!!!

I had heard about this but had not yet researched any of the sites. Thanks for sharing. My blog is the only scrapbook my children are likely to get so it would be great to make into a book for them!

I have used Blurb to make a blog book (I wrote a review quite a while ago on my blog), and I really loved it! Very easy to use and I loved the finished product!

I haven't researched it either. But it sounds like a neat idea! I wonder how expensive it is...

Has anyone gotten that far with it yet?

Great tip... now the virtual scrapbook can become, well, an actual scrapbook.

Thanks for the idea-- this would make a great gift!

I've been thinking about doing this for a long time now. I might do it - once a year. This would be a great Mother's Day gift!

How cool - thank you! Every Friday I blog about a childhood memory (I began doing this as a keepsake for my kids). I'd love to make those posts into a book, so I'll be looking into this for sure.

It's so funny your post is about this. I spent last week researching it and planned on writing my WFMW about it, but didn't have the time. I tried all of these services, and they all have different strengths and weaknesses. A lot of the choice depends on who you blog is through too. I hope you found the one that worked best for you!

This is absolutely one of the best things I have seen lately! Fabulous idea! Now I can scrapbook and blog at the same time! What kind of wonderful multi-tasking is that?! This DEFINITELY works for me and I will now be blogging with more of a "scrapbook" mindset! Thanks for sharing this!
