Be Kind, Rewind

I'm a blog stalker, this comes as no surprise. In fact, I've confessed this a time or two. What I haven't mentioned yet, is that one of my FAVORITE things to do is go into the archives of a blog I really like and read their VERY FIRST post! Is that funny (weird) or what?!

The reason I like to read a historical post is I like to see how far people have come...occasionally a blog is dedicated to a journey, such as marriage, pregnancy, or even grief. No matter what, though, that story is beautiful.

I look at my own first post...it was a silly post about my birthday and how my sweet friends Jennifer and Clare had surprised me by pounding on my door (before I was awake), kidnapping me for breakfast, then took me shopping in Beverly Hills. It was a tough year for me, and I'd been living in the blahs...this wonderful surprise showed me how much they cared, and I loved it, even though I so rudely awakened. ; ) Back in '05, my blog was a scrapbook and I mostly posted pictures and random stories, I read this now and I wish I had expressed my gratefulness to my special friends... http://www.theblahblahblahger.com/2005/11/someone-else-had-birthday-this-week.html

What was YOUR first post like? Please comment below with a link...because let's face it, I'm a blog stalker and I'd love to see how beautiful YOUR journey has become!!!

OH! I am so embarrassed. My first posts were definitely in my experimental stage. ie. i had no idea what a blog was.

However, I leave them up there so everyone can get a good laugh. At me.

It's funny, my first post was me explaining that I probably wouldn't be posting anything. And I didn't... for about a year and a half. This was my first "real post"

I did cheat and "back date" a few kid stories. It's funny, for someone who thought she wouldn't post very often, I now can't seem to shut up!

Went back and read my first posts and some of them were really lame.

Although, my first post on my cooking blog was a recipe for amazing chocolate cookies, and they are still one of my very favorites!

Mine was the #1 reason why it's hard to live with Lindsay and the plight of my poor, overworked husband. hahahahaha Yeah, still holds true.

Yeesh, my first post just said it was my virgin post and that my husband told me to start blogging since I'd been reading everyone elses blogs for so long. This is my second post which is my first "real" post:

I only started blogging 3.5 months ago, so I can't say that I've come a long way...but I suppose I have learned a little bit about how to blog. :)
