Tuesday Tool Talk

Girl, get yoself a ladder. Sometimes your little step stool just won't do the trick. I held out for a while on getting one, assuming Daddio could just bring his over when I needed help with something high, but that got to be a pain in the buttox (as Forrest Gump would say), as I have severe patience issues. Oh, c'mon like you don't??? Ha!

I can't tell you how many times I've used the step stool to reach for something I should have just used a ladder for...I usually got cranky, sweaty, and most times had to redo my project anyway! Mine is a 4 footer and is great - I'm pretty sure I got it for less than 40 bucks - plus it's easy to store at that size...mine lives in the utility closet on the porch.

Just remember this...four feet is still high up. I know this because I may or may not have fallen straight off of it as I was working on a DIY project with my dad...while holding a drill. Luckily, I learned my lesson and my chiropractor was able to get me all fixed up and even prescribed a few massage therapy sessions!!! : )

Tool Talk Tuesday, awesome idea! I will have to join this next week!
I've already "submitted" my Mother's Day wish list, and it includes some new tools!

I cannot believe you fell off your ladder! My mom did that and broke her foot! Be careful up there!

Tom told me this weekend that he wants to buy me my own set of tools for our 5 year anniversary later this month. I guess since the traditional gift is wood, he could buy me a 2x4, too. hahaha

Ha, my mom and I have had some embarrassing falls from little ladders!

I would agree on using those short ladders though as the safest alternative, because I used to use a stool and that was treacherous. I nearly fell to my death from a stool one time fixing a pipe in the basement. Turns out it wasn't that bad of a fall, but I thought for sure when I started to tip over I would knock myself out on the cement floor. My whole life flashed before me.

Thanks for the tool talk! Reminds me of Tim The Tool Man.

Ha! You are so darn funny, girl! I even love the "TALK TO ME GOOSE" on your comments. Something my husband says to me constantly! We used to have one of those dress up gooses and we named him Maverick. Most folks just didn't get it! I love your style, and you are hilarious. Oh, and by the way, I have 2 ladders, can't live without them. Me gusta! or is it mi gusta? Been away from the grandmother (Abuela too long).Have a great week!
