Tomorrow is a special day. My girlfriends and I will be throwing a baby shower for Clare, one of my dearest friends in whole world. This is Clare's first baby and she's been so fun to watch as she prepares for the arrival of her little man.
This is not "our" first baby, as Jennifer gave "us" Jackson on September 9 -- he's delicious and we all fight for time to snuggle him.
But tomorrow is all about Clare, our loyal, caring, and generous friend who never fights for the spotlight. I'm honored to be her friend and need to celebrate HER more. Tomorrow we will gather with a group of women and celebrate friendship and family. Tomorrow we will giggle at the cuteness of little clothes and little doodads. And tomorrow we will sit in awe at the beauty of life.
Clare, tomorrow is about you. I treasure your friendship and cannot wait to see you transition into mommyhood. I know that you will be an incredible mother and that your beautiful heart will create beautiful children.
I encourage you all to take a moment today to affirm a friend or family member. All to often, we take these beautiful parts of our lives for granted...don't do that today; treasure the women and men in your lives! Live beautifully and be inspired!
