I've used dried wsabi peas in the bottom of a trifle bowl, and then put flowers on top, or twigs and other springy things for a fun centerpiece.Sarah Frenzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11581081685570224878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805568.post-55352688956754982312010-03-18T10:55:31.526-07:002010-03-18T10:55:31.526-07:00In addition to repurposing as much as possible (a ...In addition to repurposing as much as possible (a grouping of shot glasses also make great vases for one full bloom), I try to choose recycled or sustainable materials to begin with. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet. And since it's a light-weight material, it's easy to hang bamboo window shades yourself.ThriftyPrincesshttp://www.bambooblindsonsale.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805568.post-52035949640467158532010-03-17T21:10:48.026-07:002010-03-17T21:10:48.026-07:00I think that's a very clever idea. One is holding buttons, paintbrushes in another, and the rest are empty.MarshaMarshaMarshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787051368018458658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805568.post-6901120267397590462010-03-17T13:57:21.943-07:002010-03-17T13:57:21.943-07:00Loving that!! Getting ready for a party one night I needed one more serving dish that wasn't too big but was appropriately outdoorsy. Viola! The glazed bowl of the birdbath with it's little dragonfly perched on one end was the perfect dish and I still use it for spring parties.

The stand didn't go to waste, either. It's a hammered metal ring with 3 scroll legs. I removed one of the legs, turned the rest of everything flat and used it as a wall decoration over my bed.Jennifer Vanderbeekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09776524959729835580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18805568.post-52666427125020412262010-03-17T05:03:17.108-07:002010-03-17T05:03:17.108-07:00This is one of my favorite ways to display spring ...This is one of my favorite ways to display spring flowers. I love to take different types of daffodils and line them in different glass vases and votives down my dining table!
